The Dayton Mortgage Bankers Association was proud to partner with For the Love Of Children (FLOC) in helping one of their clients get one step closer to her goals.  Chenayah Clay has been diligently working toward her goal of graduating from high school and did just that last week.  Now she is on her way to Alabama A&M where she will be working toward a degree in criminal justice.  Through the assistance of FLOC, and Montgomery County Children's services Chenayah didn't fall in the cracks.   On the eve of her 18th birthday DMBA was proud to award her with a monetary birthday gift by way of For the Love of Children, this gift will help Chenayah to pay some of her admission fees so that she can smoothly start her freshman year in August of this year.

The mission of For Love of Children, Inc. (FLOC) is to provide financial, educational, and advocacy support to youth throughout the Greater Dayton Area. We serve children from ages newborn to 18 throughout the community. FLOC began servicing area children in 1980, and has grown into an industry of volunteers who are passionate about caring for neglected and abused children, children in foster care, and children in need of community resource.

Saturday April 30th the Dayton Mortgage Bankers Association partnered with the Dayton Area Board of Realtors and Rebuilding Together Dayton working on a home in the  Westwood neighborhood of Dayton.   Volunteers from both groups came together painting, landscaping, restoring foundation concerns, and replacing the front door just to name a few jobs.  It was a fun day of partnership and spirits weren't dampened by the gray and rainy weather.  The owner of the home, who applied through Rebuilding Together Dayton,  was a longtime and proud resident of the Westwood Neighborhood.

Rebuilding Together is the nation’s leading nonprofit working to preserve affordable homeownership and revitalize communities. Our network of 166 affiliates provides rehabilitation and critical repairs to the homes of low-income Americans at no cost.   Rebuilding Together Dayton, formerly known as Christmas in April, was founded in 1996. Since its inception, Rebuilding Together Dayton has been able to impact over 1,500 homeowners in our community thanks to the support of our sponsors and volunteers.

Rebuilding Together Dayton works in our city year round, want to volunteer:
